Alexandra Norton recieved her Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Central Michigan University majoring in Photojournalism and MultiMedia Design. She has lived in several cities across Michigan, but considers the metro-Detroit area her home. She started photographing in early high school and fell in love with the language of light. Norton loves taking photos to control light and to show how she sees the world in her own artistic way.

After Norton graduated, she took off running with wedding photojournalism. She now has almost a decade of experience under her belt photographing weddings. Whether the moment's big, small, or somewhere in between, she captures each cherished memory, creating a collection of images that truly emody the day as a whole. Using creative measures, she is able to combine her photography, journalism, and visual design skills, offering a unique perspective to each and every wedding.

To date, Norton has recieved numerous photography, graphic design, and journalism scholarships and awards. Her two most notable awards she recieved was Game of the Year and the Journalism Scholar of the Year Award. She has had her work displayed in a jured exhibition at the Central Michigan University Art Gallery. Norton also has had her work Lake Life to Lake Memories featured in CMLife, with the first photograph in the series being the cover of the issue.

Norton was a quarterfinalist for the jured 2022 National Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C. She plans on continuing to strive for a spot in prestigeous competitions such as this.
